Boss: 스케줄이 너무 빡빡한데! 이번 달에 끝내야 할 큰 프로젝트가 2개나 있는 거 잊은 거 아니지?
Jenny: 알고 있어요. 하지만 연말이 다가오니 선택의 여지가 없었거든요.
Boss: 그러면 스케줄 조정을 하는 게 어떨까? 그래야만 다 감당할 수 있을 거 같은데.
Jenny: 차마 그 생각을 못했네요. 음… 그럼 전화부터.
Boss: 네 말이 받아들여지길 바래.
‘Hear’란 단어는 ‘듣다’라는 뜻인데, ‘Your voice is heard’에서 ‘is heard’는 ‘들려지다, 이해되다’라는 뜻이므로 이 표현은 “너의 의견이 이해되었어. 받아들여졌어”라는 뜻으로 쓰입니다.
